About Pre-marital Therapy
Build a Strong Foundation for Your Future Together
Getting married is one of life’s most meaningful transitions—and it deserves mindful preparation. Premarital therapy offers a safe and supportive space to explore your relationship, improve communication, and align on values before saying “I do.”
Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and a calming, mindful approach, I help couples strengthen their connection, navigate differences, and feel confident about the road ahead. Whether you're newly engaged or planning your wedding, premarital therapy is an investment in a thriving, lasting partnership.
Common topics we explore:
-
Communication styles and conflict resolution
-
Family dynamics and future goals
-
Finances, intimacy, and shared values
-
Building emotional safety and trust
Pre-marital therapy sessions are 50 minutes each and are done in a 4 session package for $679. Let’s start your marriage with intention and clarity.

Important Details
Therapy Method
I work with families, individuals, and couples struggling with connection and communication. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Methods and a mindfulness-based approach, grounded in a systemic and holistic perspective. I believe each of us has the inner strength and wisdom to overcome challenges and reach our potential. My approach is empathetic, non-judgmental, and collaborative, guiding clients toward meaningful solutions.
Who I serve
I work with people facing challenges like depression, anxiety, or trauma, often rooted in relationships or family dynamics. In our initial sessions, I'll take the time to get to know you and explore your family history, so we can dive into the issues that feel most challenging. Together, we'll work toward understanding what holds you back and uncovering pathways to healing and growth. I do not service couples that have active drug use or domestic violence, but can provide you resources for those clinicians that do.
Cost of Therapy
Pre-marital sessions are sold in a 4-session package for $679. Each session is 50 minutes. If the couple decides to continue sessions, they will be offered at $170 per session for up to 8 more sessions.
Insurance
At Mindful Couples and Family Therapy, I operate as a private-pay practice, offering personalized, focused care without the constraints of insurance networks. Upon request, I can provide a superbill, which you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement depends on your individual insurance plan and coverage.Payment is required at the time of service either by credit or debit card.
Attendance and Cancellations
Consistency is important for the therapeutic process, and I strive to maintain a schedule that supports all clients’ needs. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations (same-day cancellations) and no-shows will be charged the full session fee, as this time has been reserved specifically for you. However, I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. In the case of an extenuating circumstance, please contact me directly, and I will do my best to accommodate your situation. To maintain the consistency and effectiveness of therapy, it’s important to honor scheduled appointments. If you have three late cancellations (same-day cancellations) or no-shows, your therapist may choose to refer you to another counseling office that can better accommodate your scheduling needs. In such cases, your case with Mindful Couples and Family Therapy may be closed. Please note that arriving more than 15 minutes late to a scheduled appointment will be considered a late cancellation, and the session will be canceled. The full session fee will apply unless prior arrangements have been made with your therapist.
