How I work

My work is grounded in three things:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which helps couples see the negative cycle they're caught in and reconnect underneath it.

  • The Gottman Method. I'm Gottman Level 2 trained, and I use its assessment and tools to build friendship, manage conflict, and create shared meaning.

  • Mindfulness and relational mindfulness, which help us slow down, notice what's happening inside us, and stay present with each other when things get hard.

I'm calm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe each person has their own strength and wisdom, and my job is to help you and your partner find it again, together.

Who I work with

  • Couples who feel stuck in the same argument, or who've grown distant

  • Engaged couples preparing for marriage

  • Individuals working through anxiety, depression, burnout, or life transitions

Background and training

  • Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, Pacific Lutheran University

  • Clinical experience at the Couples and Family Therapy Center at Pacific Lutheran University and at Integrated Therapy Services Northwest

  • Gottman Level 2 trained

  • Certified yoga and meditation teacher

  • Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in Washington MFTA.MG.61633114, supervised by Quantas Ginn

The person behind the practice

Before becoming a therapist, I spent time in business and talent development at a Fortune 50 company, and I'm also a small business owner. That background gives me a real understanding of how work stress and personal life affect each other.
